School is basically a place of tyranny. A stupid rule that breaks basic laws and principles. I hope this woman is fired and imprisoned for theft. A 1000 dollar piece of technology does not and should not equate to a flip phone of drastically unequal value. A few weeks to verify safety of what. A simple scroll through the phone and this woman could have returned the phone without a single hassle.
